Regulatory Thermography

Contact Regulatory Thermography (RT) is a gentle, noninvasive way to see something most testing never captures: how your body responds to change. Using the AlfaSight 9000, Dr. Sienna measures precise temperature patterns at specific points throughout the body—first at rest, and then again after a brief, controlled cooling challenge. What matters isn't simply whether an area is “hot” or “cold,” but how it responds, regulates, and recovers when the environment changes.

Temperature regulation is one of the body's most immediate adaptive responses, closely influenced by the autonomic nervous system, circulation, and the constant communication occurring between different tissues and systems. This makes RT a unique window into regulation itself. Areas that adapt appropriately create a different pattern from areas that appear sluggish, overreactive, or unable to regulate efficiently. In this sense, we sometimes think of RT as a “truth detector” for adaptability: rather than asking the body how it is doing while everything remains still, we introduce a small challenge and observe what it actually does.

The result is a whole-body map that can help us explore relationships involving organs, glands, lymphatic pathways, dental regions, circulation, and other areas of physiologic stress or compensation. Rather than chasing an isolated symptom, these patterns can help us recognize where the body may be allocating energy, where regulation may be compromised, and where seemingly unrelated symptoms may share a larger biological relationship.

Why does this matter to you? Because whether your goal is more energy, better digestion, improved hormonal balance, less pain or inflammation, or simply understanding why you don't feel as well as you should, the deeper question is often not just “What is wrong?” but “How well is my body adapting?”

RT gives us another way to listen to that answer—and helps us personalize what we investigate and prioritize next.
